About Me

"Joanne Daniel is a Visual Artist and Lawyer living and working in Victoria, Australia."

A practicing artist and lawyer, local to the western suburbs of Melbourne, Joanne Daniel creates original and contemporary abstract artworks. A Chaldean originally from Iraq, her works are greatly influenced by colour, the environment and her faith. Joanne’s passion for painting was apparent from an early age and she now dedicates much of her time to creating inside her private art studio.

Though her works varying greatly, they are frequently characterised by bold compositions and expressive movement, and typically result from creative experimentation. Full of colour, texturisation and dynamism, her works come in a multitude of dimensional sizes and make an exquisite focal point or addition to any home or office space. In addition to her abstracts, Joanne also competed in the 2019 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, finishing as a semi-finalist.

Joanne is also a Australian Lawyer and holds the following qualifications:

  • Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in Wills & Estates
  • Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
  • Advanced Diploma of Business (Legal Practice)

Joanne believes there is endless opportunity to create new abstract art pieces using textures and colours. She likes starting her abstract artwork not knowing where it will take her and not knowing the result.

She hopes you like and find a connection to her Artwork.
